湖人在8日遭火箭以134比95痛電39分，總教練Luke Walton（華頓）認為球員的心態不佳，讓他感到相當不滿。
Walton表示球隊不能以傷兵過多做為輸球的藉口：「很明顯的我們有幾名重要的球員都沒辦法上場，但你絕對不能只是等著他們復出，有這種想法非常不應該，更不能把這（傷兵）當作藉口。」
湖人目前傷兵名單有原後場先發組合D'Angelo Russell和Nick Young，控球後衛Jose Calderon、中鋒Tarik Black，都是之前湖人主要輪替戰力。
湖人此役防守形同虛設，讓火箭攻下134分是本季新高，全隊共7人得分上雙，Eric Gordon投進生涯新高8顆三分球，全場拿下26分，James Harden則有25分6籃板8助攻進帳。
另外火箭後衛Patrick Beverley此戰攻下10分7籃板12助攻，賽後火箭主帥Mike D'Antoni坦承為了讓Beverley拿下生涯首次大三元，有讓他上場時間比其他先發久一些，可惜依然未能達標。
Harden對此開玩笑表示：「他（Beverley）太矮了，一些該抓的籃板都沒拿到。」
